Hurricane
The Hurricane cocktail deserves its name: tracing its roots back to 1940s New Orleans where it was first served in a speakeasy that, legend has it, could only be entered if you uttered the words “storm’s brewin’”. Once a favourite of seafaring men, it’s now popular amongst privateers and civilians alike.
The Hurricane recipe is a mix of white rum and Original Spiced Gold, passion fruit juice, mango juice, lime juice and sugar syrup; it’s a real taste of the tropics. Take the Captain’s advice and enjoy a Hurricane or two as the sun sets.
Make like a New Orleanian and serve yours in traditional hurricane glasses. Best enjoyed under a palm tree on a desert island.
