Caipirinha
This bracing yet delicious mix of sugar, limes and spiced rum drink topped with lashings of ice is the Captain’s take on Brazil’s famous national cocktail. The original Caipirinha recipe was discovered over a century ago and was said to have been used as a cure for the common cold, as well as being a refreshing tipple on a hot, balmy day.
We’ve put a twist on this classic drink and made our own Caipirinha recipe with a dash of good ol’ Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold in place of the traditional cachaça. Quick to make for your whole crew, a tropical Caipirinha cocktail is the perfect party drink after a day of adventure at sea.
To make a Caipirinha worthy of the Captain’s kudos, give the limes a squeeze first to make sure you get all the juicy, good stuff out. Use crushed ice instead of cubes, too, for a stronger taste.
